How does Maywood Sitters Network work?
Families submit a coverage request. Available network sitters can express interest, the family chooses who they’d like to connect with, and Maywood facilitates the introduction. The family and sitter coordinate directly from there.
Does Maywood employ the sitters?
No. Maywood facilitates introductions between families and independent sitters. Families and sitters arrange schedules, rates, and terms directly.
Does Maywood set or process payment?
No. Families and sitters agree on rates and payment directly. Maywood does not set rates or process sitter payments.
Are sitters background checked?
Before activating a profile, Maywood verifies each sitter’s identity using government-issued ID, confirms their contact information, and contacts the references they provide. Sitters may also choose to provide additional credentials for review, including a background check, certifications, or other documentation. A background check is not required for every sitter.
When is contact information shared?
Contact details are shared only after both sides opt in to an introduction.
Do I have to be a Maywood Concierge member?
No. The Sitters Network is available independently, though Maywood Concierge members may receive additional benefits.
