Proudly Serving Fairfield County, Connecticut
Maywood facilitates introductions between families and independent sitters. New sitters are reviewed before joining the network.
The network welcomes experienced caregivers from a variety of backgrounds.
Expressing interest simply lets Maywood know you'd like to be considered. An introduction occurs only if you say yes and the family then selects you. Responding indicates possible availability only — you're never committed until you and the family agree on details directly.
Your information stays private — families never see your documents, your email, or your home address. Once you say yes to a request, that family can see your name, town, photo, About me, your driving and vehicle answers, and any credential Maywood has reviewed documentation for (a family that asked about a credential also sees when none is on file) — never your contact details. Saying yes is also your consent to be introduced: if the family selects you, Maywood shares your phone number with them and theirs with you so you can coordinate directly. No other contact details are ever released, and you can withdraw your interest any time before a family selects you.
Maywood makes the introduction, and you coordinate directly from there. Maywood coordinates introductions — it does not supervise or control the relationship between a family and a sitter.
Maywood facilitates introductions between families and independent sitters. Maywood does not employ, supervise, or guarantee sitters. You and each family decide rates, schedules, and other arrangements directly.
Maywood is not an employer, staffing agency, or childcare company. Maywood does not supervise, set rates, or process payments, and is not a party to your agreements with families.
Families and sitters can privately rate each experience from one to five and leave a note for Maywood. It's a confidential signal that helps us make better introductions — never a public review, score, or ranking.
Either side can report a concern directly to Maywood. We review it confidentially and follow up as needed.
